The lightning current and overvoltage arrester of the DS50VGPVS series has been specially developed for the protection of photovoltaic systems and is available for operating voltages of 500 and 1000 V DC.
The DS50VGPVS arrester is a two-part surge arrester type 2 and is designed for mounting on a DIN rail. The replacement module allows easy replacement of a damaged part without the need to disassemble the connected wires. The arrester includes VG type protection with a special gas-filled spark gap (GSG) and high-performance varistors in Y-connection.
The DS50VGPVS arrester is equipped with remote protection status signaling as standard. Thanks to the galvanic isolation, the DS50VGPVS arrester is also suitable for applications with thin-film photovoltaic panels.
